Hello! We are planning a family vacation for 9 with children ages, 7,6,5,3 in December. What are your suggestions on "must-do" character dining? Also, are there any special dining events for Christmas or New Years? Thank you! We are so excited!

    Hi Megan!

Character dining is one of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort!  The options are endless at Walt Disney World Resort but here are a few of my personal favorites:

‘Ohana – The Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitck at Disney’s Polynesian Village & Resort is my absolute favorite character dining experience.   Not only will the whole family have a great time seeing some favorite friends, they will also be able to enjoy a wonderful family-style American breakfast influenced by Polynesian flavors.  Yum! I can taste the Hawaiian pork sausage already!

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall – If you have any Princesses in your group, they may love a meal with Disney Royalty at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot.   You will dine in a beautiful medieval castle and see some of the most beloved Storybook Princesses.  At lunch and dinner, you will also be able to enjoy some delicious Norwegian-inspired cuisine.

The Crystal Palace – My favorite friends from the Hundred-Acre Woods await your visit at this all-care-to-enjoy experience.   This one is a sentimental favorite for me as it was my first ever character dining experience when I was little.

When it comes to character dining, there is something for everyone, but no matter what you choose, I know your family will have a wonderful time. Keep checking back in the next few months for any information about special Holiday dining experiences.

If you need any further information or have any other question, please let me know.

    Happy planning!
