    We are planning our family vacation to Aulani Resort in Hawaii in June 2011. Other than kayaking and surf lessons, what other excursions will be available for a family with 3 children ranging between 15-9yrs old?

    Hi Jayme,

    Your family must be so excited to visit Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina next June!  Personally, I can't wait to explore this tropical paradise sprinkled with an extra dose of Disney magic. 

    With children the age of your kids, you're going to have plenty to do at Aulani.  Your youngest may enjoy some time in Aunty's Beach House, a state-of-the-art kids club with a movie room, playground, video games, and age-appropriate activities. I imagine he might get a real kick out of Chip and Dale's Surfs Up Dance Party and the Menehune Adventure Trail.

    I bet your tween would love to learn how to hula dance and make traditional Hawaiian desserts.  She could participate in photo scavenger hunts and make poi.  Your oldest child would find a welcome hangout at the teen lounge where they have a yogurt and elixir bar, sand sculpture competitions, and ample opportunity to get to know other teens vacationing at the resort.  Of course, he could book a spa treatment at Painted Sky, a spa designed especially for teens.

    Families can work together to build and race mini-canoes, explore the private snorkeling lagoon, meet native marine animals at Makai Preserve, relax at Wailana Pool, go dolphin-spotting or whale-watching, ride horseback, set sail on a catamaran, tube along the lazy river between the two towers of Aulani, and take the plunge down Vertical Volcano - the tunnel body slide atop Pu'u Kilo.

    I can't believe all the wonderful activities Disney has lined up for their spectacular new resort.  Wishing you and your family the adventure of a lifetime!
