Hi, we are planning a family vacation in April. We wanted to know if we can take snacks and drinks in the park?

Hiya, Nicole, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Just a few more days until your pixie-dusted adventures begin at the Happiest Place on Earth! You’ll have the opportunity to experience the 2019 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival if you’d like, since it continues through Tuesday, April 23, 2019! You won’t want to miss the amazing culinary demonstrations and delicious food kiosks, too!

According to the Disneyland Resort Rules, yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks into the theme parks, with the exception of a few items, such as glass containers and alcoholic beverages. A small cooler or backpack containing your food and drinks is allowed, as long as the cooler isn’t larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. I recommend using re-usable ice packs to keep your snacks or drinks cold, since loose or dry ice isn’t permitted.

If you’re looking for a nice spot to enjoy your snacks and drinks, head on over to the picnic area, located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. You can even store your items in a nearby locker if you choose!

Last but not least, as the temperatures start warming up, so does your need to stay hydrated in the parks, and we’ve got you covered! Simply stop by any quick-service restaurant to ask for a complimentary cup of lidded ice water throughout your Disney day.

    See ya' real soon!

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
