Planning a family trip to WDW using Pop Century. Can we get a first floor room due to grandparents disabilities? Not using wheelchairs, but stairs can be a problem.

You are welcome to make a room request. While requests are not guaranteed, Disney does make every effort to accommodate guests, particularly those with medical needs.

Making a room request is a two-step process. First, call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY and have them make a note on your file. Then, about a week before your trip, you should follow up with the hotel itself. Moms Panelist Bret does a great job explaining how to do this HERE.

You should also know that there are elevators in all the buildings at the Pop Century resort. Even with a second floor room, you can avoid taking stairs.

Good luck and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
