We are planning a family trip to WDW this summer - excited to have 8 of us, and will be in 3 rooms - probably POR. If we do the DDP, and make our reservation together, will all our meal credits be grouped together? Or will they be grouped by each room?

Hi Robin! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to help answer your question!

Traveling with a party of eight sure sounds like a great time! I love traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with my extended family. Even though interests may be different, it always seems that there are quite a few things that all of us really can agree upon and that we really enjoy doing together as a family!

It has been my experience that even though your party is technically traveling together, the Disney Dining Plan credits will be grouped by room. When your server is scanning magic bands for payment, they will debit each room and not the group as a whole.

One thing that I always like to include is that parties of six or more are automatically charged an 18% gratuity that is automatically added to your bill. This is added even though your dining credits are not debited as a group but instead by room.

I hope that I have helped to answer your question! I hope you have a magical vacation! Happy Dining!
