We are planning a family trip to WDW next summer. My brother who is in the air force will be coming back from Turkey to take this vacation with us. Will he be able to book all our rooms with his discount? Also my son will be 2 can I accompany him on rides?

Hi Angela!  I am sure your family is going to have a wonderful celebration at Walt Disney World when your brother returns from active duty over seas!  That will be an incredible time for all of you! Sending thanks now for his service to our country!

Military personnel can book a package or room only at Disney with a military discount. The room must be in his name and he must provide the military identification upon check-in. If you don't have a specific resort in mind your best value will be the Shades of Green where your brother can book up to three rooms in his name. Each room will allow five guests to stay. This resort is across the street from the Polynesian resort so the location is closest to the Magic Kingdom park. They offer transportation to Disney locations or transfer spots and it is a full service resort specifically for military personnel. You can buy discounted tickets there and he can do that for the family.  If you have questions you can look at the site at shadesofgreen.org or call seven days a week/24 hours a day at 888-593-2242.

There are many attractions you can enjoy with your two year old.  I have to say that even though I am now a grandma I still can get in and out of the Dumbo rides so I can enjoy that with my grandchildren! It is not getting any easier but it is still fun.  You will be restricted from rides that have a height limit for your son but other then that what attractions you choose to enjoy with him will be up to you. Look over the list at the website and see which ones might be too much for him due to darkness or loud noises. You don't want his first experience to be intimidating!
