Planning a family trip to Walt Disney World in late May. We have an 18 month old and 3 month old. We want to have quick/easy access to Magic Kingdom, and see ourselves spending more time at the hotel than the parks. Looking for best hotel option(s).

    Hey there Dave!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for you and your family to make the journey to the Most Magical Place on Earth! One of the things I love about Disney vacations is you can make magic in so many ways, whether its splashing at the pool or enjoying a day at one of the amazing theme parks. I always wish I could spend more time at the wonderful Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, so your vacation plan sounds great!

From what you have described, one of the Disney Deluxe Resorts in close proximity to Magic Kingdom sounds like the perfect fit. Any of the three hotels located on the Resort Monorail loop would make getting to this park a breeze, plus I just know your toddler, like mine, will have a blast on this fun mode of transportation. These hotels are Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. All boast impressive pools and a plethora of dining options from Quick Service to Character Dining to gourmet meals. Another wonderful option close to Magic Kingdom is Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I love that you can take an exciting boat ride right to Magic Kingdom from this hotel. It really makes me feel like I am escaping to a far off rustic Northwest retreat.

I would love to help you plan more details of your exciting family vacation. Please feel free to return if you have any other questions. Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day!
