Planning a family trip (16 total, incl. 1 infant). The 3-room suite at Disneyland Hotel shows a 14-person limit. Can we add a few small kids on the sofa bed so we can stay together, or must we book an extra room under a separate reservation?

Hi there, Cody. Thanks for visiting planDisney! It sounds like you're planning a family vacation that will be jam-packed with magic. Let's get to your question!

When booking your Disneyland Resort hotel reservation on the Disneyland website, you will need to account for all members of your party, including providing ages for all children. If you are trying to book a reservation with a room capacity smaller than your party of 16, you will need to book multiple rooms or call the Hotel Reservations at (714) 956-6425 to get more information. In my experience, my family of five could not book a room meant for four people or fewer. This was true even when my youngest was an infant.

You will want to make sure that everyone is listed on the reservation(s), as this allows everyone in your party to enjoy Early Entry (available before January 5, 2026) or one complimentary Lightning Lane entry (valid theme park admission and a park reservation).

Cody, visiting Disneyland with little ones is a magical experience! Be sure to catch your favorite animated character friends in Town Square in Disneyland Park, and on Pixar Pier in California Adventure. There is also a Baby Care Center in both parks, where there is a quiet space to feed babies and an area with lots of diaper changing stations. These centers were incredibly helpful when my kids were infants.  Don't forget that there are many rides without a height requirement that the whole family can enjoy!

I hope this information helps in your planning, Cody. Please visit us again if you have any other questions!
