planning a family trip for about 70 people. What to go to two parks and have lunch for us also

    Hi Theada!

Welcome to planDisney! Wow, you are planning for a big group. Having planned for group visits to the Walt Disney World Resort in the past, I can imagine your excitement and trepidation!

Since you are creating some dining magic for such a large group, my first suggestion would be to contact Disney Meetings & Events. Although their offices are closed at this time, your dates are further out, so keep an eye out for updates and complete the Request Form online, especially if you would prefer to do a catered event. Definitely make advanced dining reservations for your group. With the size of your party, you may have to call Group Sales at 407-939-1942 or you may have to contact the restaurants directly.

Where you eat may depend on which park you visit on the day you plan to dine together. I spoke with a Cast Member and we came up with a few options. Near EPCOT, consider Ale & Compass Restaurant or Cape May Café, both located at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. To inquire about Ale & Compass Restaurant, you will need to contact the restaurant directly at 407-934-3160. In Disney's Animal Kingdom, consider Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant. In Magic Kingdom, Tony's Town Square Restaurant or Liberty Tree Tavern might be good possibilities, and in Disney's Hollywood Studios, try Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano. Know that some of these restaurants are not yet open so continue to check the dining updates for restaurant availability.

When I have gone through Group Sales, they were able to assist us with reserving rooms, purchasing tickets, and dining. It was helpful to have a point of contact. And, they can help you verify which restaurants have the seating capacity to accommodate your group at the time of your visit. Like you, I want folks to dine together but given the logistics of advanced dining reservations for large groups (i.e. actually making sure everyone gets to the reservation on time), I decided one meal together was quite enough!

Theada, I am sending you lots of patience and pixie dust as you plan!

    Magic and memories,
