Planning a family trip in November 2020. Some of us are staying onsite and some are staying outside the park. I need to purchase just the tickets for the others, how soon can I purchase those tickets? (or add to my cart)

    Hi Pamela,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited to hear that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

The happy news is that you can purchase tickets as soon as you are ready. Take a few minutes to review the ticket options. Once you are online, you can select the number of days for the tickets, use the calendar feature to select the days of your visit, and then select the number of tickets you need per age category (ages 3-9 or ages 10+). During the selection process, you will also need to decide if you want the 1 Park Per Day ticket, the Park Hopper Ticket, or the Park Hopper Plus Ticket. Before we became Annual Passholders, we typically did the Standard 1 Park Per Day Ticket but have also done Park Hopper Tickets. With the Park Hopper Tickets, you can visit more than one park per day.

Prior to purchasing your tickets, be sure to create a My Disney Experience Account. Since I do the trip planning for my family (extended family included), I have everyone listed and/or linked in My Disney Experience through the My Family & Friends list. When I purchase tickets, I link them to each person. For those of you staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you should receive a complimentary MagicBand prior to your stay. Also, link those MagicBands to each family member. Guests staying off property can purchase MagicBands or use their admission cards. Everyone needs valid tickets linked to a My Disney Experience Account to make FastPass+ selections for up to three rides per day at a single park.

Pamela, I recommend that you purchase those tickets as soon as possible, but definitely have them purchased at least 61 days prior to your arrival. For guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels or other select hotels, you can make those FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to arrival and I highly recommend that you make them on day 60!

Sending you lots of patience as you plan!

    Magic and memories,
