Hi I am planning a family trip for march 2014 ( march break) I was curious how busy the parks are in March and the weather also. thank you

    Hi Cassandra,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  My family loves to take a spring break trip to Walt Disney World!

For weather, spring is a lovely season to visit Walt Disney World.  With an average high temperature around 78 degrees Fahrenheit in March, it's not nearly as hot as it can be in the summer.  Spring is also typically less rainy than summer in Florida, making it considerably less humid and therefore more comfortable.

As for crowds, the times around spring breaks can get very busy as many children are out of school.  You mention going during a March break.  In 2014, Easter is on April 20th.  The parks tend to be very crowded around Easter as many schools schedule their spring breaks at that time.  Therefore, by going in March, you will probably miss the most crowded time of the spring around Easter; however, since everyone schedules spring breaks at different times, you can expect moderately heavy crowds through March and April.  I like to visit the unofficial site touringplans.com for theme park crowd predictions.

I hope that this information helps with your planning, Cassandra.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
