I am planning a family trip that could include up to 9 adults and 8 children - we would like our rooms to connect with sharing suite staterooms or adjoining stateroom doors. Is Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy a better option for our family?

    Welcome aboard, Loretta!

What an awesome family vacation you've got in the works. That kind of celebration would be best spent on a Disney Cruise trip - you just can't go wrong! Each member of your family will have a chance to do something for themselves while on a magical voyage. The range of activities spans through all ages and interests. On top of that, you've got the guarantee of excellent service and amenities available to you throughout your vacation. This will be an epic Disney trip!

There are staterooms that have connecting doors available on both ships. The Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream have almost the same configuration. You'll just have to choose your destination and the length of your voyage. The Disney Dream usually travels to the Bahamas on 3 and 4-night voyages. The Disney Fantasy, goes on 7-night itineraries that travel through the Caribbean. Once you've decided on your destination and length of your voyage, then you can check the deck plans online - or you can call the Disney Cruise Line travel desk directly to inquire about staterooms that have a connecting door in between. There will be a few, but you'll need to plan early enough to make sure you can get these specific types of staterooms reserved for your party. You can call DCL directly at 1-800-951-3532. The cast member can check on availability as well as deck locations for you. They'll even help you get your reservations started.

Going on a family voyage with Disney Cruise will be an awesome trip -- there's just so much magical memories waiting to be made for your whole family. Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can help with.

    Happy planning, Loretta!
