I am planning a family trip to DisneyWorld for next Jan 2020, when would be the best time and/or how far in advance should I arrange for purchasing the tickets and booking the hotel? Thank You!

    Hello again Rodrigo,

It’s a pleasure to see you again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for asking us another question!

I’m thrilled to hear that you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in January 2020. It’s going to be an exciting year, with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Disney Skyliner both opening prior to your visit.

I’d recommend booking your Disney Resort Hotel Package as soon as possible in order to ensure that your desired Walt Disney World Resort hotel has availability during your vacation dates. That being said, unfortunately, reservations for 2020 aren’t available yet, so you’re going to have to wait a bit longer before you can reserve. Based on my experience, the ability to make reservations for the following year have typically popped up in mid-to-late June, and sometimes even only in July. My advice to you would be to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-the-minute information about when you’ll be able to book your 2020 vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
