Hi David,
I'm so excited to hear that your family is planning a spring getaway to the Walt Disney World Resort! With the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival going on and all of the beautiful spaces, entertaining special events, and delicious eats that go along with that, you're going to love visiting then!
I'm very happy to share with you that yes, Disney absolutely does everything they can to accommodate Guests with a wide variety of special needs. As the mama of a Mouseketeer on the autism spectrum myself, I can tell you that we've found the most magical place on earth to be a wonderful vacation destination for
everyone. I do have a few tips to help your boys love their trip! First, I'd suggest watching some
online planning videos ahead of time. The more they can see what their vacation will be like, the more comfortable they'll be. Secondly, please feel free to take advantage of some of the
services available to help Guests with special needs, especially the Disability Access Service since your boys can struggle with crowds and waiting in traditional queues. Finally, don't forget to bring along some things to help your boys feel comfortable. I always pack sensory toys, headphones with favorite music, and stuffed animals to help my guy stay calm and feel at home, and I'm happy to share that he
loves our Disney vacations.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your visit. I hope that you and your Mouseketeers have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
