We are planning a family trip in December 2019. Is Akershus included in the candlelight dining package for 2019?

    Hi Kristin!

I'm so happy to hear that you are planning a holiday vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! There is truly nothing like experiencing the magic of the holiday season during your vacation with Mickey and friends. My family and I visited last year during the holidays and we had such an incredible trip starting our holiday season with a trip to "the most magical place on Earth"!

Candlelight Processional is one of my favorite experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. It's incredible to listen to the Christmas story read by an incredible celebrity narrator, who is accompanied by incredible music from Voices of Liberty,  a full choir and a full 50-piece orchestra. Every time the herald trumpets play, I get chills and tears in my eyes!

The Candlelight Processional Dining Package is a great way to enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants at Epcot and have a reserved spot for that evening's Candlelight Processional. The show is very popular and has limited seating, so it's great to get reserved seating for the show. Unfortunately, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall isn't on the list for this year's Candlelight Processional Dining Package, but there are some other awesome restaurants that you can enjoy with the package!

You can get the complete list of restaurants that are available with this year's package on the Candlelight Processional Dining Package webpage, but if you are specifically interested in Character Dining, I recommend that you make a reservation for breakfast at Trattoria al Forno to enjoy the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast. I love this experience because you can enjoy a tasty breakfast while you meet Ariel and Rapunzel, along with Prince Eric and Flynn Rider.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning your vacation to get information about all of the new holiday happenings that will be headed to Walt Disney World Resort for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
