PLANNING A FAMILY TRIP FOR APRIL 01-05. I WANTED TO KNOW IF THIS A GOOD TIME TO VISIT?I'M HOPING FOR LESS CROWD THAT WAY MY KIDS ENJOY THE RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS.

Hello, Friend! Thank you for visiting planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question!

As someone who has been visiting Walt Disney World for over 30 years, I can tell you that there is never a bad time to plan your visit, some times may be better than others, but you will always enjoy yourself! There are pros and cons to each month of the year based on weather, crowds, festivals, sporting events, etc. but no matter when you choose to visit, you can count on making memories with your family that will last a lifetime!

Visiting in early April sounds like an ideal time to visit, in my opinion. The weather in Orlando/Kissimmee is starting to get warmer and typically there are only a few days of rain, Spring Break for many of the local students has already passed, and attraction refurbishments and updates are typically completed in preparation for the summer crowds, and EPCOT hosts the International Flower & Garden Festival! All of these things combined, make visiting in early April appealing to me, however, it’s hard to know how many other families are planning vacations at the same time with these same thoughts in mind. One thing I like to do, even though date-based tickets no longer require a theme park reservation, is to keep an eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. This shows what parks may not be available for those Guests who require a reservation, giving me an idea of what to expect from a crowd perspective during my visits.

Here are some other ways to maximize your time when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort:

I hope this helps your vacation planning and puts your mind at ease, Friend! If you have any follow-up questions, please visit us here at planDisney again!

    Thanks,
    Brent
