Hi Kellie,
If you were traveling as part of a large school group, I would direct you to the
Disney Youth office. They offer discounted tickets for large student groups.
Individual families who enroll their children in Youth Education Series programs are also permitted to take advantage of these discounts.
However, if you are planning a more traditional family reunion, your best bet is to work with a Disney-savvy travel agent. They will keep you up-to-date on
special offers that might become available for your intended dates of travel. Although it is not guaranteed, they may be able to negotiate a volume discount for your group since you will need more than ten rooms. It will take a good deal of stress off of you if there is a professional willing to coordinate reservations and payments for vacation packages.
Among Disney's many
incredible resort options, I am sure that you can find a hotel that will be a fabulous base of operations for your reunion. There's a Disney resort for every budget. (Let us know if you're looking for a specific resort recommendation. I have some great suggestions in each price category). Be sure to plan at least one group dinner during your vacation. For a group as large as yours, plan to call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days in advance of your vacation to make dining reservations.
Congratulations for taking on the Herculean task of organizing your family reunion. Because of your efforts, your family is going to make the most incredible memories together! Just remember that the Moms Panel is here to give you advice at any point in the process when you need a little extra help.
Best wishes,
Jill
