We are planning for a family group of 10, 6 adults and 4 kids, 9yr, 2-6yr, 4yr. What are the best suite options or other room options, adjoining rooms that would best suit us? We want to stay together.

Hello, Terry! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney!

My favorite type of Guest question is asking for assistance planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for large families or groups. Some of the best memories my family and I have are from our visits when my wife and children got to experience the Most Magical Place on Earth with both sets of grandparents joining us. Disney PhotoPass pictures are proudly framed in our houses as a constant reminder of the time we spent together.

When staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can request connecting rooms (an interior door connecting two rooms) or adjoining rooms (two rooms next to each other or nearby). However, neither request is guaranteed and would be subject to availability. If this is something you would consider, you have 35 uniquely themed resorts to choose from! After touring the Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort not long ago, requesting adjoining suites may be a great and affordable option. The Lion King-themed rooms were my favorite! Otherwise, I would recommend looking into the Deluxe Villa 1-, 2-, or 3-Bedroom options to accommodate your family of ten. Not only could the 3-Bedroom Villa accommodate your entire family, but you would have separate living, dining, and sleeping areas, plus amenities like a full kitchen and washer and dryer! Each Deluxe Villa Resort will have Villas that accommodate different numbers of Guests, so I suggest exploring them all to see which theming, location, and room configuration may work best for you.

Some of my favorite options include the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa due to the monorail and walking path options to get to and from the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and Disney’s Beach Club Villas are also high on my list due to the proximity to Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and many dining options. The Beach Club Villas also has the best resort pool, in my opinion! Many of the Deluxe Villa Resort options could accommodate your entire family in one suite, and you will also get to enjoy more time in the parks with Early Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours!

If you would like me to suggest additional resorts, I would be happy to, just submit me a question and I will get back to you! No matter what resort you choose, I do not doubt that you will have a fantastic and memorable vacation!

    See you real soon!
