Hi! We are planning a family Disney trip and my niece will be going for the first time. She has an mild autism diagnosis and has difficulty with waiting and also displays anxiety in lines. Are there any accommodations that coulee made for her/our party?

    Hi Karen!

Thanks sending us your question!  A family trip to Walt Disney World Resort is a great way to make great memories that will last a lifetime.  I guarantee your family will talk about this trip for years to come!  Walt Disney World Resort does an excellent job accommodating guests with medical and other types of conditions.  It sounds like your daughter would benefit using alternate entrances;  It would allow for a separate entrance with far less crowds.  I would recommend for you to visit Guest Services when you arrive at your first Theme Park and explain your daughter's condition to the Cast Member.  Please make sure your daughter is there with you at the time.  My husband requires the use of a Guest Assistance Card and we always bring a medical note just in case.  The Cast Members have never asked for it, but we like to have medical documentation should we need it.

The Cast Member will decide what accommodations would benefit your daughter, and you will receive a Guest Assistance Card (GAC).  Simply show the Cast Member your Guest Assistance Card at the entrance to each attraction and the Cast Members will direct your party in the appropriate direction.

I hope you have a magical time on your family vacation Karen.  Please let me know if I can be of further assistance as you continue to plan.  I would be happy to help!
