Ahoy, Don!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family embarked on a multi-generational cruise aboard the Disney Wonder to
Alaska two summers ago and we had the time of our lives! My Dad wanted to take the entire family to "The Last Frontier" in celebration of his retirement. Seeing the glow on my parents' faces every night at dinner while listening to their children and grandchildren share stories and laugh until our sides hurt are moments I'll never forget. In my opinion, so much of the magic aboard a Disney Cruise is created from memories like that!
It sounds like you're a Disney Cruise Line planning pro! Booking your future Disney Cruise as far in advance as possible will get you the best price and stateroom availability. Last year, Disney Cruise Line announced the summer itineraries for this upcoming summer around the end of February, which was a little earlier than years past. Although I'm not exactly sure when the summer 2019 itineraries will be released, they're usually announced in early springtime (around April)! I'm keeping a watch on both the Disney Cruise Line website and the
Disney Parks Blog for any new information regarding the exciting voyages planned for summer 2019; they will be shared on those sites first!
Both times we set sail on an Alaskan Disney Cruise, we stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront hotel. This hotel is not only beautiful, but also within walking distance of the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal! I'm so happy to hEAR that you're planning on arriving in advance of your cruise. Exploring Vancouver and watching the Disney Wonder pull into the Cruise Terminal the morning of embarkation was such an exciting start to our trip!
Happy planning, Don!
