I am planning my families 2nd trip to Disney for 2012 and would like to know when would be the best time to visit? We visited in June of 2011 and would like to visit when it is less crowded and not as hot and maybe even when the rates are down as well.

    Hi Ashley!

The easiest answer to give is Walt Disney World is least crowded when older children are in school.  The holidays, especially Christmas / New Year, Thanksgiving, and Easter are extremely crowded.  I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That's the website for the research team behind "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that is extremely accurate.  They basically predict the crowd levels for every day for a year.  I believe that is exactly what you are looking for to plan your next trip.  As an engineer, I'm a huge fan of their work as their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of collected data.

    Have a magical day!
