I am planning my families first trip to WDW for May 2013. I have booked the MYW w/ DD plan for 5 nights. We know what 10 restaurants we would like to eat at for B&L for all 5 days. Are the SP&UD restaurants so busy that I need to make reservatio

    Hello, Jeremy!

Wow! Your family's first trip to Walt Disney World, and you are already way ahead of the game by adding the Deluxe Dining Plan to your reservation. It's even better that you know which restaurants you'd like to enjoy, too.

Guests can make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days prior to check-in, and many do so in order to secure exactly what they want, at the dates and times they want, too. If you have your hearts set on a particular date, time and location, absolutely call (407) WDW-DINE or make your reservations on Walt Disney World's online reservation page right at the 180 day mark, regardless of whether any of them are classified as "Special & Unique Dining." If you wait, you could be very disappointed when you call later only to find out there are no reservations available at that time. If your plans change as you get closer to your trip, you could call back or go online to see if a different time or date is available and decide at that time if you'd rather switch.

Because the Walt Disney World Dining Plans are so popular, there are many restaurants which simply do not have walk-up reservations available, especially at peak seasons, so why take a chance? Your family's first trip to WDW will be perfectly planned and you'll secure seats at the table at each of those 10 restaurants you've picked.  Enjoy!
