Hiya Kara,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are planning your family’s first vacation to Walt Disney World. Nothing is more magical than the moment you step foot into
Magic Kingdom for the first time and see Cinderella Castle. I hope you and your family enjoy creating core memories together that will last a lifetime!
Bringing a cooler bag into the parks is a great idea, especially to carry snacks, beverages, and anything else your family may need. We always travel with a lot of drink pouches for my toddler since she is in a phase of pickiness about what she drinks and eats. According to
Walt Disney World’s official property rules, all cooler bags must not exceed 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. I looked up the dimensions of your bag, and it appears that it fits the criteria. I recommend just taking a measuring tape at home to double-check before you pack the bag in your luggage. Also, don’t forget to pack some reusable ice packs with you for your bag; you are not permitted to have loose or dry ice within the cooler at the parks.
I hope that was helpful, Kara. Before I let you go for your first trip, can I suggest getting
Memory Maker if you don’t already have it? While I love taking photos on my phone (and trust me, my phone is filled with tons of them), I always love getting great photos taken by the
PhotoPass photographers during my trip. Everyone gets to be in the pictures for once, and I don’t have to take a selfie of the entire group awkwardly or flag down a stranger to take our photo. With Memory Maker, you can get downloads of all your trip photos to have something special to remember your first family vacation. Please come back and see us if you need any additional help planning your family’s vacation!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
