Hi Heather,
If you are staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you're guaranteed to have a magical first family trip to Walt Disney World. Just wait until you and your family see the breathtaking lobby and the geyser out back. I bet your little one would enjoy the rubber duck races that are held daily at Silver Creek Springs Pool. Yes, pure magic is on the horizon for all of you!
Be sure to visit all the exciting new attractions in Fantasyland that will be open by December 2013. What a wonderful time it will be to visit the Magic Kingdom! Be sure to arrive at least twenty minutes before the Magic Kingdom opens so that your family can catch the rope drop opening ceremony at least once.
Also, plan to see Disney Junior - Live on Stage! at Disney's Hollywood Studios. That would be a fun show for a preschooler. I bet she'd enjoy dining with her favorite Playhouse Disney characters at Hollywood & Vine too.
As for sending a special note from Mickey, I highly recommend that you ask a friend or family member to send one to her on Disney stationery. (There are plenty of great Disney fonts and images that you can download online). Then you can personalize the letter to include her name, the dates of your trip, and the various attractions that Mickey is excited for her to experience.
I could write pages and pages of suggestions for fun activities for your preschooler. Unfortunately, I'm running out of space so please click
here to see a list of activities designed with little ones in mind. (Just click the "preschoolers" box on the left under "recommended ages.") If you have any questions about specific attractions, just post them here to the Moms Panel. We'll be happy to help you with any aspect of planning your magical trip to Walt Disney World.
Best wishes,
Jill
