We are planning a fall trip to Disney. We have never been there and hoping to make it the best vacation ever. We are debating between Aug, Sept, and Oct. I was wondering if you had any advice or tips to help us chose. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The fall is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World. Out of the three months you listed, October is my most favorite for a number of reasons. October is still warm but seems to be ever-so-slightly less humid. The evenings tend to be cooler but the days are still warm enough for swimming. In the past there have been great Special Offers, including Free Dining offers.

Special Events are another reason to love the fall at Walt Disney World. The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival typically runs from late September to mid November.  There are specialty food kiosks set up around World Showcase and all kinds of seminars available. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom. Our kids love the trick-or-treat trails and we love the special parade and fireworks.

I think you will have a fabulous vacation whenever you choose to go, but I do recommend October. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
