Planning on a fall trip with 4 children (13,11,9 yrs, and newborn). Would you recommend AoA for space and price, or Beach Club for convenience and pool?

    Hello Jeanine!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Having stayed at both Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort recently, I have to say we’re split right down the middle on this. Here’s why… My boys are 17, 11 and 8. They love the arcade, pools and themed suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, but they don’t care for taking bus transportation to and from the parks. The cost was less at Disney’s Art of Animation, however, so they did get to enjoy a few more souvenirs and such than I would have otherwise allowed.

At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can’t beat the location. You can walk to Epcot, take a boat to Hollywood Studios and take the bus or monorail to Magic Kingdom. My boys loved the pool and walking over to the Boardwalk area as well. There is an arcade and great viewing of the fireworks. However, the rooms are less vibrantly themed and because of the increase in price, they had to scale back their “extras”.

My personal preference is Disney’s Beach Club Resort, but my boys love them both equally. I hope this is helpful and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
