Planning for our fall break with 8 adults and 3 children

Hi there, Lisa!  Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad to hear that you're planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort this fall!  With spooktacular activities like Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party and tasty treats at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, the autumn season is the perfect time for a magical vacation!  It would be my pleasure to help point you in the right direction to get started with your planning.

If you haven't already done so, you can easily book your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package on the Walt Disney World website.  Your vacation package will include your Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay and your theme park tickets.  If you're not sure which resort hotel you'd like to call your home away from home, the Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides found in the Panel Extras section of our planDisney website are great resources.  Once you have your resort hotel stay booked and your theme park tickets purchased, be sure to also make your theme park reservations.  Theme park reservations are required until January 9, 2024.

After you get your trip on the books, you can start planning what you'd like to do while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.  If you're planning to attend a special event like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you'll want to purchase those tickets as soon as possible.  I would also recommend spending some time looking over the attractions and entertainment offerings on the Walt Disney World website to make a list of everyone's must-do experiences.

While you're exploring the website, be sure to also take a look at the list of dining options.  If your party hopes to enjoy any table service restaurants, you can begin making your dining reservations 60 days in advance.  Since you'll be visiting with a large party, breaking up into smaller groups for dining reservations is a good strategy to help you secure your top restaurant choices.

As you're planning for your trip, I would also recommend becoming familiar with the Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services.  On the Walt Disney World website, you'll find a series of helpful videos that will help you learn how to unlock the magic of Disney Genie.  If you haven't done so already, you'll also want to download the My Disney Experience mobile app

This information should help you get started with planning your magical vacation.  If you have any additional questions or if you're looking for any more specific recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask.  My fellow planDisney panelists and I are all ears!

    See ya real soon!
