Hi - I am planning a fairly full day... I'd like to start the day in Epcot, go to the 4:00 Hoop-De-Doo show, and then end in the Magic Kingdom for final rides and the street parade. Can you please outline my best transportation options? Thank you!

    Andrea:

I am going to assume that you will not be driving a car from Colorado nor renting one, which would actually be your best option for such a busy day. That leaves you with Disney transportation which can be a positive in that you won't need to know where you're going and can leave the driving to Disney! Without knowing your resort, I am going to assume that you will only have bus transportation, not monorail or ferry access. (If you are lucky enough to be at one of the Epcot or Magic Kingdom resorts, you'll have more options. Feel free to come back if that is the case.)

From your resort, take bus transportation to Epcot. Give yourself no less than two hours to leave Epcot and make your way via bus from its bus pavilion at the far left of the exit gate to Fort Wilderness, home of the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. One at the fort's bus stop, you'll transfer to an internal bus headed to the Settlement (take the first one, yellow or orange line, either will get you there). Once at the Settlement bus stop you'll walk over to Pioneer Hall where you'll enjoy dinner and the show. After the show, walk out the front door and to your left, following the street, to the marina to catch the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom. The ferry will take you to its front gates.

To end your evening, you should be able to again take bus transportation from the bus pavilion to the left of the exit gate of the Magic Kingdom back to your resort.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
