Hey there, Kevin! Welcome to planDisney!
As a Physical Therapist, Disney-goer and a mom, I appreciate this question so much (and I'm sure your lovely wife does, too!). Staying comfortable while walking around Walt Disney World is important for all Guests, especially expectant mothers, and I'm more than happy to answer your question today.
Handheld massagers are not on the list of prohibited items on the
Walt Disney World Property Rules, so it seems as if you should be able to bring in a small one to keep your wife comfortable throughout her Disney day. However, please be aware that Security Cast Members reserve the right to refuse entry of any item at their discretion. When you go through security and have your bag checked, just let the Cast Member know what the massager is and what it's for. Also, be sure that the one you bring with you does not resemble a weapon of any kind, as the Security team will not allow it in for safety reasons.
I recommend booking a mid-day meal at one of the
Table Service restaurants so that your wife can get inside for a little bit and kick her feet up while the two of you enjoy a great meal. If she needs to rest her feet while still enjoying the attractions, I recommend stopping in a show that takes place in a theater, such as Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom, The American Adventure in EPCOT, Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom, and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in Hollywood Studios (Trust me, this show is hilarious and not just for kids!) for comfortable, magical entertainment.
I hope this helps, Kevin, and I hope you have the most magical, memorable and comfortable adventure at the Most Magical place on Earth! Feel free to stop by any time with any planning questions you may have.
See ya real soon,
Mandy
