We are planning to be in EPCOT on July 4th. If someone in our party leaves but plans on returning later in the day to join us for dinner and Luminous, will they be permitted re-entry even if the park is at capacity? Thank you so much!

    Hey Jenifer,

Welcome back to planDisney! Spending time at Walt Disney World on July 4th is such a fantastic idea. EPCOT and Magic Kingdom will both commemorate the holiday with spectacular Fourth of July fireworks. At EPCOT, the skies above the World Showcase will light up with one of the most patriotic displays you’ll find anywhere. In addition to the fireworks, you may also find Fourth of July-themed snacks, beverages, photo opportunities, and more across the park. Keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for announcements sometime in June.

As for your excellent question, guests are allowed to re-enter a theme park they have visited on the same day. However, re-entry is subject to availability. If EPCOT reaches capacity while your group member is outside the park, they won’t be allowed to enter again until capacity allows for it. Guests will be notified in real time if a park reaches capacity via a push notification on the My Disney Experience app. Due to the spectacular fireworks, there is a chance that your group member could leave EPCOT on July 4th and not be able to re-enter. You'll want to plan carefully.

I hope this information is helpful, Jenifer. If you have additional planning questions please be sure to visit us again here at planDisney. TTFN… ta-ta for now!
