We were planning on entering Fort Wilderness to have dinner (takeout from P&J’s) and then shop a bit and watch the fireworks. We aren’t staying on property, we’re visiting our parents who are seasonal pass holders. Will we be permitted entry?

    Hi Matthew! Welcome to planDisney.

In just a few short days, you are arriving at The World's Most Magical Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. Do not miss the all-new nighttime spectaculars Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park and Harmonious at EPCOT. Both shows use projections, music, and fireworks to evoke all those special Disney emotions.

Gaining entry to Walt Disney World Resorts without Advance Dining Reservations has proven to yield mixed results. Different resorts tend to have various protocols. There is absolutely no harm in asking the security guard about your plans to gain entry. However, if your parents are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge, simply inform the security guard and you should be allowed to visit with no worries. Alternatively, you can always take a water taxi from Magic Kingdom Park to access Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Did you know you can rent bikes and motorized boats at the lodge? I love going see the stables and horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

You are visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Grab a fresh culinary delight from one of the many outdoor kitchens to enjoy while strolling the park admiring the flowers and living topiaries.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
