I am planning an engagement an 4 July 2012, and would very much like to propose at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park. Can Disney provide any assistance in planning a surprise proposal (such as a character like Mickey)

Congratulations Juan Manuel!  I can't think of a better place to drop that magical question to the one you love!  My son proposed to his wonderful bride nine years ago on the wonderful yacht called the Grand One. He waited until the Magic Kingdom fireworks began and then popped the question.

There are many super ideas. There are locations in all of the parks that are very romantic and unique so don't just think castles. You can "hire" characters but the cost is quite steep so you might want to consider getting help through some of the musicians on property such as the pianist or the orchestra at the Grand Floridian. For something more upbeat you can arrange a surprise with the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk. Consider a romantic carriage ride at Port Orleans or Fort Wilderness or a magical fireworks cruise for either Epcot or Magic Kingdom. There are Disney Dream Makers available to assist you with special surprises to add to the big moment too.

Check out and search proposals.  The cast there will be glad to help you plan your special day.  To contact the Disney Dream Makers head to Anything is possible at Walt Disney just need a little pixie dust!
