Couple out enjoying nightlife

Nicola from England Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are planning an elopement wedding at the Orange county courthouse and would love to enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants at disney springs. Is wedding attire permitted at disney springs if you are marri3d off property?

Why hello there Nicola, I'm pleased to wish you the warmest wedding welcome to planDisney!

It's wonderful that you've decided to tie the knot here in Orlando; my husband and I got married here this past year thanks to Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, and though you're planning an elopement you should definitely still be able to enjoy the first few days of your marriage at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

You'll be happy to hear that unlike the attire policies at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, there is currently no prohibition on couples wearing wedding attire to enter Disney Springs; in fact I've personally observed couples who have had to enter in order to get married up on the decks of Paddlefish, host their reception at The Edison or even sail romantically into the sunset in a Vintage Amphicar. (There are even several Disney Springs dining locations that are used to seeing wedding couples, private parties and even large groups with specially-designed menus that they can choose from that we had also considered for our own wedding!)

Even though you may not be having a Disney Wedding, you might still be interested in some of the honeymoon experiences after you elope found in the Enchanting Extras Collection. Something that I highly recommend that we incorporated into our wedding week was a Capture Your Moment session in Magic Kingdom Park with Cinderella Castle and Fantasyland as our backdrop; though wedding attire is not permitted for these private shoots, couple still often dress nicely for the occasion!

Did you know that you can still have a magical Disney Wedding while keeping it small and intimate? If you'd like to learn more or hear about our experiences, you're always welcome to ask me any other questions about getting married at Walt Disney World Resort or my fellow planDisney panelist and Disney Bride Kay! In the meantime, get inspired through the stories of other couples told on the Ever After Blog and the Disney Wedding Podcast as you count down to the big day!
