Planning early for our June 2012 vacation. My 15 yr old daughter wants to stay at the Caribbean because of the sandy beaches. I see from the pictures that there are chairs set up on the sand. Do you swim in the water by the sand or only the pools?

    Hi Colleen,

Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  We're glad you're hEAR!  I love that you are already planning your June 2012 trip - its never too early to start planning.

My family loves Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  Its laid back atmosphere and recreation was great for us.

Guests are welcome to relax on the beach but swimming is prohibited in Barefoot Bay at Caribbean Beach (and at the beaches at the other resorts), but there are plenty of watercraft available if you want to get out onto the water.  The rental location is located near Old Port Royale.

For swimming, Caribbean Beach Resort Hotel has 6 heated pools located throughout the island villages. The pools located within the villages are quiet pools meaning no frills just a nice quiet place to relax and swim.  The main pool complex at Old Port Royale is a swashbuckling adventure, themed like the colonial Spanish fortress Fuentes del Morro.  It features 2 water slides and provides a festive atmosphere.  It is also conveniently located near the food court.

Let us know if you have any other questions during your planning!  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
