We are planning a DW vacation for November 2014. We will be traveling with an almost 3 yo, almost 1 yo, my husband, my parents, and my grandmother. When should we book the trip? My husband is military so we would love to utilize the discounts. Thank you!

Hello Trinicia, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel!

It's great that you have started planning your Walt Disney World vacation a year in advance.

Before booking your trip check all the special events taking place this November, so that you know what to expect for 2014.  The same goes with the special offers offered for November 2013.  For the past years Disney special offers have not change much from year to year.

For more military discounts and benefits I suggest visiting Shades of Green and Military Disney Tips web site.  There is lots of useful information at both sites.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can book your resort now.  If special offers are later available you can try to modify your reservation or cancel it - up to 45 days before arrival for no penalty.

Try booking advance dining reservations when the 180 days window opens (before your vacation).
Special events or activities should be booked around 4 months before.

Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Let us know if we can help with any other detail of your vacation.
