I was planning to use some DVC points for my cousin, wife to take their three children down to Disney World next year. Their eldest daughter needs assistance, must have a wheelchair, etc. Which DVC resort is the most friendly (distances, access, rooms, etc)?

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you so much for your question.  I would love to help you with your vacation planning.  I think the best Disney Vacation Club resort for your family would be to stay at Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort.  You can assess both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot using the Monorail.  This is very convenient with those who have wheelchairs.  To get to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney, she will need to take the bus transportation system.  Another option would be to stay on the Boardwalk at the Beach Club or Boardwalk Villas.  You can take the boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios and then the bus to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.  When you make the reservations, I would actually call Disney Vacation Club at (800) 800-9800 and ask for a handicapped accessible room and let them know what your concerns are to get the perfect room for your family!  Thanks again, Andrew, for the question and let me know if I can help you further.  Welcome Home!
