We are planning on going to the droid depot. If I have two kids under 14 can one be the “guest” and I still accompany them both or do I need to find a second adult and buy a second droid?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Nicole. Or rather, Bright Suns! I'm so glad you stopped by and I'm super excited to hear you're planning a galactic adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge next month.

A trusty droid is a must-have for any young Padawan. And Droid Depot is the best place in Batuu to acquire one! My two Padawans customized their own astromech units a few years ago, and the experience made for an out-of-this-world memory. In reference to your question, the pricing section on the Droid Depot page on the Walt Disney World Resort website states that "the experience area is limited to the builder and one Guest—at least one person in the party must be age 14 or older." Additionally, it's noted that "only the builder will be allowed to build a droid; the Guest of the builder may not build a droid." That said, I can tell you that when my sons had their reservations at Droid Depot, myself, my husband, and my daughter were permitted to be in the experience area with them. While an additional person being permitted to be in the experience area with the builders was my experience, I can't promise you it will be yours. My best advice is to arrive early for your reservation so you have some extra time to chat with the Cast Member at the check-in stand. Explain your circumstances and be prepared that you may be required to purchase a second droid (though you won't need a second adult; you can be the "Guest" for both builders). While maybe not ideal for your family, I will say that each of my sons had an experience at Droid Depot as unique as they each are from one another. I'm sure your kids are just as different from one another, so if it comes down to them each building their own droid, I'm sure it will be a priceless experience for both!

While you're exploring Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, be sure to stop by the Milk Stand for a frosty treat. Green and Blue Milk are considered favorites among Batuu locals. Everyone in my family prefers Blue Milk, but I always recommend trying both blue and green!

I hope this was helpful, Nicole. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical visit.
