Hi! We are planning on dressing up (following guidelines) to go to Batuu! I was wondering if I could wear my lekku, since with the star cruiser it was allowed and sold there?

Bright Suns, Geurin and welcome back to planDisney!

I'm coming to you directly from Batuu, and am glad that I get to be able to lend you some first-hand (and hopefully not First Order) knowledge about your travel attire when you head out here this summer. I absolutely love prepping everyone looking to make the trek out to the edge of the galaxy and visit Black Spire Outpost, especially if they're interested in dressing up for their visit! The Disney Parks Blog even published a handy guide on "Batuu-bounding" with appropriate attire that has since seemingly become more flexible as the Halcyon began to bring more elaborately attired guests to visit Batuu over the past year.

You'll be happy to hear that today I observed a few Twi'lek guest travelers with prominent lekku, including some that appear customized as they roamed around Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge wearing outfits purchased at Black Spire Outfitters and the Cast Members are happily greeting and interacting with them. I took the opportunity to ask a member of the Guest Experience Team who let me know that headpieces like lekku tend to be acceptable as long as you aren't wearing a mask wear full paint or makeup covering your face to match the coloring of your lekku, similar to the guidelines for guests visiting Batuu on their Port excursion day from the Halcyon. They also let me know that guests have been ok with partial makeup (less than 50% of your face) but that ultimately it may be up to the Cast Member teams at Disney's Hollywood Studios security and the front gate to determine what they may allow through as these policies are subject to change without prior notice, so your best bet may be to only wear your lekku once you are on Batuu where the Cast Members are more accustomed to seeing visitors from different planets and have a greater sense of what is and isn't permitted to be worn. I've personally noticed folks stepping quickly into a refresher (restroom) to change into more Star Wars-appropriate attire to take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass opportunities scattered around Black Spire Outpost. (Always be prepared to remove and themed pieces if requested by Cast Members for any reason, especially when it comes to safety - you might not notice your lekku swinging around or getting caught on something, and even Togruta need to be careful with their montrals!)

I hope that this helps you on your intergalactic voyaging, Geurin and that you make the people of Ryloth proud. I look forward to having you back to planDisney again for any more questions that I can answer for you from the edge of the galaxy far, far away!

May the Force be with you always,
    Prince
