I am planning a dream vacation this summer, with part of my stay at the Polynesian Village Resort, and part at Port Orleans Riverside. Is it possible to request specific rooms? What steps should I take to get the best chance of success for a room request?

Warmest greetings and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emily!

That sure does sound like a dream vacation! Please enjoy a Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai for me at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and say hi to YeHaa Bob Jackson for me at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- Riverside! You can absolutely request certain rooms, but remember that these are just that, requests and not guaranteed! If you are looking to request a VERY specific room (ex: room 5011) it will be VERY difficult for your Disney Resort hotel to accommodate you! Here are some tips on making those special location requests:

    1) Ensure that you’ve booked the right room category. If you have a Standard Room booked but request a Theme Park View, you may be in need of a visit from the Blue Fairy to get your request!

    2) Make sure that your request is noted in your original Disney Reservation. Contact your travel agent or Disney Reservations to have them added.

    3) Send a FAX directly to the resort about 3-5 days before your arrival date. Include your name and Reservation number (Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- Riverside: 1-407-934-5777 and Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Village: 407-824-3174), I have found that adding fun Pixie-Dust such as pictures, or Disney quotes enhances MY experience, and I hope the Cast Members on the other end also enjoy it!

    4) If you are listing multiple requests, add them in order of importance and explain the reason them, especially if it is for a medical reason.

    5) Online check-in can be done up to 60 days before your arrival, but the request section can be limited and not include what you are looking for, but it is always a good idea to do this before you send in your fax requests.

I hope this helps you plan your dream vacation and that you come visit us again real soon!
