We are planning on doing a Thanksgiving 2013 trip. Arrive the Thurday before and Leaving the Saturday after. How bad is the crowd and good is the weather. (this year we did the first week of spring break and we thought it was fine for both)

    Hi Teresa!

With highs in the upper 70s and low humidity, the weather tends to be practically perfect during late November in central Florida. Though you might not take it out of your suitcase, bring a jacket or light sweater for possibly cooler evenings.

Families love Walt Disney World so when schools are on vacation, kids and their parents visit the parks. You will find the day before and the day after Thanksgiving to be the most crowded. The weekend before tends to be more manageable. Do make reservations for your Thanksgiving dinner as soon as your 180 day window opens. One year we neglected to reserve a table far enough in advance and ended up having room service for our Thanksgiving meal. My children loved eating turkey and dressing in our room from silver domed covered plates. This is the holiday meal they well remember and still discuss.
