Hi there, Alicia!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you stopped by with your question about planning an upcoming Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I cannot think of anything better than a
Land and Sea vacation! If I could give one recommendation, it would be to visit the theme parks BEFORE heading to sea. After some busy days at the theme parks, you will gladly welcome the relaxation that comes with being out at sea. But, if the itineraries do not line up allowing you to visit Orlando afterwards, don’t worry! Do what makes sense and works for your schedule!
Disney Cruise Line does offer ground transfers between Port Canaveral and Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Currently the price for a one-way transfer is $39, although pricing is always subject to change without notice. Ground transfers can be reserved when you book your Land and Sea vacation, or you can add them up until three days prior to embarkation by contacting Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent. Please note that the transfers go only to/from Orlando International Airport or one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. There are a number of other transportation companies that will get you from one location to another but booking with Disney Cruise Line just makes everything so very easy!
One of the best things about cruising from Port Canaveral is that you get to stop at Disney’s private island! A stop at
Castaway Cay will really give you all the magical experiences at once – land, sea and island! SO. MUCH. FUN!!! As you continue planning for this magical and very memorable vacation, please come back with all your planning questions!
Happy Planning!
