    We are planning on doing AK on a Sunday in Sept. The park closes at 5pm that day, so I made ADR for Chef Mickeys at 7:05. I heard that the parade starts at closing time. I thought that would be a good night since AK closes early and we do not have hopper.

    Hi Jennifer!

    I think that is an excellent plan.  You won't have any problems getting to Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort on time.  Just take the bus for the Contemporary Resort after you leave Disney's Animal Kingdom! 

    After dinner, you can walk or take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and then walk the very short walk to the Magic Kingdom bus station to get back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.  The monorail station and the bus station are outside the park, so you won't need to actually enter the Magic Kingdom.  Or if you are staying in the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, just take the monorail there. Similarly, if you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness, you can just take a boat from the Contemporary after dinner.
