i am planning on going to disneyworld the week of august 19 - 25 can anyone please tell me how the weather and the crowds are going to be at that time? everything is all paid for ( hotel, tickets, meals ) so how much spending money would we need ?

    Hi, Sharon!

I'm so happy to hear you have all your plans made for you August Walt Disney World vacation!   What a great way to end summer break.

That week is actually pretty good for crowds.  Many kids are already back in school, so the deluge of summer vacationers have headed home to get back into a school routine.  The weather is still very hot.  Plan to start your day early and take mid-day breaks at your resort pool.    I'm a northern girl, I can't take all that heat and humidity, I like to sit pool side under a shady palm tree during those super hot afternoon hours!  After a nice break, head back out in the evening when temperatures are more tolerable.

With your Magic Your Way package all paid for, your only expenses will be for souvenirs, extra snacks, and gratuities.  Ballpark guess - perhaps $350/$400 for all the little "extras" but work with your personal budget.

Make sure to make your Advance Dining Reservations online or by calling (407)WDW-DINE as soon as you hit your 180 day booking window.   Once you are 10 days out, you can do online check-in by going to www.disneyworld.com and clicking on My Reservations.

Have fun planning the rest of your vacation!  If you have any other questions, let me know!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
