    We were planning a DisneyWorld trip in March 2020. Magic bands were part of the package we ordered. Tri was canceled due to covid closures. We have rebooked for Nov. 2022. Should we use the magic bands from 2020 or s it worth ordering Magic Bands +?

    I am excited that you were able to re-book a Walt Disney World vacation for November 2022! It is a special time because we are still in the Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration! I am excited about the new MagicBand+, officially launched on July 27th, 2022! I have received the MagicBand+ that I ordered from shopDisney. I can't wait to use it at Walt Disney World!

    The previous style of MagicBands will still work along with the new MagicBand+ (the MagicBand+ will do all the things that a MagicBand did and much more). So you could bring the previous MagicBands that you received in 2020. Typically, the batteries in the two earlier generations of MagicBands can last over two years or more, according to my experience. The new MagicBand+ is rechargeable with a USB cord which is included with each MagicBand+. If you do decide to purchase MagicBand+ for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, you can use both the MagicBands that you already have and the new MagicBand+ as long as they are all linked to your My Disney Experience Account.
