We are planning a Disneyworld "Sibling" visit sometime in 2014. We are very flexible in what dates we are going to schedule our visit. What might be the best time to book our week long visit? Are there discounted prices for "off season&q

    Hi Carol!

I love the idea of a siblings vacation to Walt Disney World, you will certainly share some wonderful memories on this magical vacation.Anytime is a great time to visit, special events happen all throughout the year that makes each trip completely unique. One of my favorite times to visit is late September through October, because of two very popular special events; Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot's International Food & Wine Festival.

I'm always hunting for ways to save on Walt Disney World vacations and a good rule of thumb; prices will always be higher during or around any major holiday and anytime during a school break. When booking a Magic Your Way Package, there are typically two or three main components; resort room, park tickets and dining plan.Realistically the only one of those components that will change in price is your resort room.Disney offers a Value Season that can equal to savings hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.Value Season dates will vary from year-to-year and by resort, but are typically offered in late August through September and January through February (save holiday weekends).

Walt Disney World also has various special offers throughout the year that can really help stretch your Disney Dollar.Promotions in the past have included room discounts, free dining plan and various package discounts.By choosing to visit during the Value Season and taking advantage of any Special Offer, the savings can be phenomenal.Even if a special offer is not available for your dates of stay at the moment, make sure to keep an eye out because there is almost always a discount that is available if you book in advance.Plus, once you have booked your vacation and one becomes available you can still have this discount added to your reservation.

I hope this was helpful, Carol and visit me again for lots of tips on finding the best deals on your first Walt Disney World vacation!

    Happy Planning!
