Greetings, Anne Margarette, and welcome to planDisney! Meeting Disney Princesses is one of the most enchanting parts of any visit to the Disneyland Resort – there’s something magical about seeing little ones light up as they meet their favorite royals in real life. As a fellow parent of two Frozen fans, I’m happy to share where your little one might have a chance to meet Anna and Elsa!
Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome in California Adventure is the best place to meet the brave and beloved sisters from Arendelle. While the hours can vary, this experience is typically available from 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m. Since it’s a popular stop for many Guests, I recommend heading there earlier in the day if possible. To find out if the experience will be available during your trip,
check the attraction page on the Disneyland website about five to six weeks before your trip. Select the date of your visit to see the scheduled hours for Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome. Check again as your travel dates approach to ensure the schedule hasn’t changed.
In the past, I've also seen Anna and Elsa separately in Disneyland at
Royal Hall in Fantasyland – there's no way to know in advance who is inside greeting Guests. Still, even if you don't encounter either of them there, you'll meet two or three other Disney Princesses.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures inside the Grand Californian Hotel is a royal experience, with great food, special activities, and many Disney Princesses in attendance. I haven't seen Anna or Elsa at the breakfast before, but it's always a possibility. It is hard to say who will be making an appearance on any given day, and no specific princess is guaranteed to attend, but you may encounter Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Cinderella, Mulan, Aurora, and others.
Anne Margarette, if your toddler can stay up late enough for a nighttime show, I recommend the
Paint the Night parade. There is a Frozen float with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. It is a special sight, and the whole show is dazzling with more than one million LED lights.
Anne Margarette, here are a few other tips to make the most of the visit with your little one:
- Take breaks to rest and snack. The Enchanted Tiki Room, it's a small world, and Storytelling at Royal Theatre all provide entertainment with the bonus of resting your feet.
- There is a Baby Care Center in each park with toddler-size toilets, changing tables, and a vending machine with essentials available to purchase.
- The Disneyland mobile app is helpful. You can use it to filter attractions by age, thrill level, and height. Plus, mobile ordering food is a time saver.
I hope you have a magical visit, filled with special princess sightings, great food, and warm hugs. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
