Hello! We’re planning Disneyland trip and wondering if it’s possible to link different parties together for things like dining lightning lanes etc family are passholders and we just have daily tickets how can we book lightning lanes together for same time?

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I’m so happy to hear that you’ll be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth with your very own Disney pro. That’s sure to make your vacation even more magical. I’m happy to share some tips on how to streamline and share plans with your group during your visit!

If you’ve used the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World, you might be familiar with the Family & Friends list, which lets guests easily share plans, dining, and hotel reservations.

Here in California, things work a bit differently. The Disneyland app doesn’t include a Family & Friends list. But not to worry! I’m happy to walk you through how to manage your group’s plans using the app:

    1) Park Tickets
Once you purchase your tickets, you can link all of them to a single Disneyland account — there’s no need for everyone to create or connect individual profiles. To link tickets in the Disneyland app:

    * Tap the three lines in the bottom right corner
    * Select “My Tickets & Passes”
    * Tap the “+” in the top right corner
    * Choose “Link Tickets & Passes” to scan the eTickets or manually enter the ticket ID numbers

    2) Lightning Lane
If you plan to purchase Lightning Lane, make sure all tickets are linked to at least one account. Without this, you won’t be able to book Lightning Lanes for your whole group at once.

I recently went to the parks with my sister and her boyfriend — we each had everyone’s tickets linked on our phones, which made it super easy to make Lightning Lane reservations for the group.

    3) Dining Reservations
Dining works a little differently here too. The Disneyland app doesn’t automatically share dining plans between accounts. One person can manage all the reservations, or you can split them up among your group, totally up to you!

Reservations open 60 days in advance, and you can manage them under the “Today’s Plans” or “Future Plans” sections of the app.

    Bonus Tip: Disney Genie
Don’t forget to take advantage of the Disney Genie section in the app — it's a free and super helpful planning tool! It displays all your current plans (like dining, experiences, and Lightning Lane selections) in one place.

On the day of your visit, check out the “Tip Board” for real-time suggestions on entertainment and rides. To access it:

    * Tap the three bars in the bottom right corner
    * Scroll down to “Today’s Plans”
    * Under “My Day,” you can view or change the date and see all your dining and hotel reservations

I hope this was helpful, Amy! If anything is unclear or you have more questions, feel free to follow up; I’d be happy to help. You can also reach out to any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help add a little extra magic to your Disney vacation.

    Happy planning!
