We are planning our Disneyland trip from November 15-19 and want to book character dining experiences. We don’t see any of those dates available. Will they become available so we can book them during those days?

Greetings, Tyler, and welcome to planDisney! The only thing more magical than a Disneyland Resort visit is being there during the holiday season – you'll be at the park right as it kicks off! I'm happy that Character Dining is on your radar, since there are some very merry options to choose from. Let's talk about reservations!

Dining reservations don’t always open exactly 60 days in advance – it can vary by location. The holiday offerings at Storytellers Cafe, for example, will open for booking on October 2, 2025, per the website. I recommend logging in early that morning to explore what's available. If you don’t see anything right away, keep checking.

Storytellers Cafe is hosting Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party for breakfast and brunch, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast for dinner. The Characters will have special outfits to match the theme, and you'll have plenty of chances to take photos between trips to the buffet. This is my personal favorite spot for Character Dining. Goofy’s Kitchen is another option, similarly featuring Characters in seasonal outfits. This option is especially great for larger groups, and I love that there's a special photo opportunity at the beginning.

Tyler, I also suggest checking out the dining package for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. You'll have a delicious lunch at Plaza Inn and also receive a voucher for reserved viewing of the parade. Another way to get special viewing for the parade is to join The Disneyland Resort Home for the Holidays Guided Tour. This is an amazing two-hour experience that will take you around the park. In addition to the parade viewing, you'll get a Lightning Lane entrance for Haunted Mansion Holiday as well as sweet treats and a collectible keepsake. I've been on a few guided tours, and have enjoyed it every time!

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog – the holiday Foodie Guide will be shared as the season nears, detailing all the delicious foods and specialty beverages you'll have a chance to try during your visit. I imagine there will be a lot of options for anyone who loves peppermint, based on previous years! There are typically some fun cold brew coffee concoctions as well.

The festive decorations, dazzling entertainment, Character experiences, and more will be waiting for you. I hope this will be a holiday visit to remember. If you think of any other questions, Tyler, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Wishing you magic,
