I planning 2025 Disneyland trip for DL's & my 70th. A former Californian (now in Florida) so need help with ins and outs of DL. I see discount now for Grand California are there other 70th events I can or should book ahead?

    Hi there, Lynn!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to ask me a question. I am just thrilled that you want to plan a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth and be a part of the epic celebration ahead, especially if this will be your first visit to the Disneyland Resort

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will honor seven decades of magic, and some of the plans for what this special event will entail have already been announced on the Disney Parks Blog. Guests can expect limited-time entertainment offerings, special decor, themed food and beverages, collectible merchandise, and more!

As you mentioned, there is an opportunity to save up to 30% on select stays of four or more nights at a Disneyland Resort Hotel when you book early. This promotion is available to reserve now through May 15, 2025 for stays from May 16 through September 26, 2025 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. Staying on property means that you’ll never have to leave the magic of the resort and you’ll have easy access to the theme parks and the Downtown Disney District. Plus, Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel can take advantage of Early Entry, which allows them to enter a theme park 30 minutes before the official opening time!

Some amazing entertainment is coming to the resort in honor of the celebration. I’m most excited to see an all-new World of Color show called World of Color Happiness! at Disney California Adventure Park, the return of the fan-favorite Paint the Night parade, and the return of Wondrous Journeys, a nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park. While I expect that there may be dining packages or dessert party opportunities to accompany some of these shows, they have not been announced yet, so keep an eye out for those as your trip approaches if you’re interested in enjoying a special dining event.

More magical details will be shared about the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration in the coming months, so remember to check this Disney Parks Blog post for more announcements. We’d also love to answer any other pixie-dusted planning questions you have, Lynn, so feel free to write back

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
