Hi so I was planning my Disneyland trip for December 15th but I couldn’t reserve it at the time as I was trying to make sure I was able to get the day off from work to take my family. But now it dosent show the date as available? Will this change?

    Hiya Brian! Welcome to planDisney!

I see that you're interested in visiting The Happiest Place on Earth this month! I can't blame you! The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are as magical as it gets. From the ride overlays, like Mater's Jingle Jamboree to the seasonal treats and tasty bites at the Disney Festival of the Holidays, there is something for everyone to love!

I'm sorry that you're having trouble finding theme park reservations for the day you'd like to visit. With all of the merry and bright magic at the Disneyland Resort during this time of the year, many Guests have the same idea as you! Theme park reservations do completely fill up on most days in December. Unfortunately, Brian, the date you selected is one of the dates that shows as completely booked. While this may be a bit disheartening, it doesn't have to be the end of the story.

Though not a guarantee, there may still be a chance for you to bring your family for a December visit. If December 15 is your only option, your best bet is to keep a close eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. This is where you will see which parks are available on which days. I'd recommend checking this calendar every day, even multiple times per day to see if there have been any changes. Guests' plans change all the time. When one Guest cancels their theme park reservation, it becomes available for another Guest to book. Though it isn't the easiest to come by reservations this way, it is still worth a try!

If your date is flexible, I'm still seeing availability for both parks on other days this month. While the availability is certainly subject to change, you may be able to book one of the remaining dates instead. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping to hear, but it is one of the best ways to guarantee that you're able to visit during the holiday season.

Brian, I hope this helps make your Disneyland Resort dreams come true. I'll keep my ears crossed that you're able to get your family to the parks on a date that works for you real soon!

    Have a magical day,

    Ashley
